Lisbon — London

We are a small studio that photographs brutalist architecture and nothing else. Housing estates, churches, towers, civic centres, car parks: post-war concrete, cast in place and built to last. We work in sessions — one building, one question about its light, one finished series — and we keep going back before the buildings are reclad, painted or knocked down.

(Since 2014)

We started with one concrete stair in 2014. Twelve years later we still only photograph concrete. Everything else is patience, heavy tripods and people who love these buildings as much as we do.
